We stopped at this place on a whim. We went inside and it is decorated like an old fashioned Italian restaurant. The menu has good variety and the staff is friendly. I had read prior reviews and I have no idea why they are low. The food is freshly prepared and the taste is authentic. The marinara sauce does NOT taste like ketchup at all as other reviews mentioned. The lasagna was delicious. This is family style old school Italian at its best. Our waitress was super nice too. Will definitely visit again.

We both Ordered shrimp and scallops. Worst ever!! Prepackaged frozen gummy shrimp and scallops...yuk! They advertise seafood as a major part of their menu. They don't have a clue. When I complained the server went and talked to the manager. The manager said nothing. Salad lousy too with a bowl of water after eating a little.

Super fun small family-owned place. Servers were wonderfully engaging & prompt. The pizza was fabulous, very authentic & delicious. Salads were very generous portions & nice fresh veggies! Full carafe of chianti for incredible price! Shook 30+ yr owner's hand on the way out after closing the place down at 10pm. Huge thumbs up!we will be back :)

This happens to be one of the worst meals I have had in a restaurant. I ordered a salmon dinner, I received two small pieces of salmon that were over cooked and dried up. The vegetable of the day were frozen over saturated green beans with celery and carrots. The other dinner was surf and turf , the steak was super thin and just warm. The salad was just bagged lettuce. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very friendly mom and pop type of restaurant. Italian based menu. They make their own dough and it's excellent. Limited selection of beer but I understand as a local independent owner, you can't stock everything.

This was the worst pizza we have ever eaten in an Italian restaurant! Pizza was doughy sauce was terrible, tasted like a spicy ketchup. We ordered sausage on it, small pea size pieces that were grey in color. They only have bottled water that you have to pay for, no other water available. Salad was terrible, dressing was served in a greasy plastic bottle. Would not recommend this restaurant, also very outdated, was not crowded at dinner time, only one other table of people and heard them complaining about the food.

Im given one start because that is the lowest , but they don't deserve that.... Worse meal we ever had.... Celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary, big, big, mistake..... Homemade salad dressings, the creamy dressing was watery, no cream..... Reuse plastic bottles for the dressing, dirty salt and pepper shakers. Lobster ravioli with watery sauce, funny color, which they said is was the mushroom..... The grouper looks like and tasted like tilapia, a sirloin steak that was a flank steak, as for broccoli and got steam..... Spaghetti with meat sauce that was tasting funny and not meaty..... I though it was illegal to charge for water, ask for water and was told that they do not have tap water, but we can buy bottles instead.... We never touch the food and ask them to take it back and charge us for the salads and oily bread, just to find a police officer standing at the door and the owner demanding full payment....... All these comment of people saying that this is the best restaurant, are lying.... There is no way.... The place is nasty and service is awful..... Will never go back to daytona beach.....

I stopped to eat at this restaurant called Milano. I tried their pasta. They had many different pastas on the menu. I selected the homemade lasagna. It was the best I had. I can't wait to come back to try more on their menu.

Ordered supreme large pizza, lasagna, and children"s spaghetti to go. The pizza was either LOADED with garlic or RAW onions. Could not tell for sure but...Mama MIA! Not cooked all the way for sure. Crust was soft & doughy. Ate 2 pieces and threw it out. The spaghetti tasted like it had dish soap in it. 2 bites and thrown out. The lasagna was pretty good. Sauce was just ok. The bread they are so proud is not very good. Tasted like a stale something out of a bag from Publix. Italian bread should be hard on the outside and soft on the inside. One bite and threw it out. Prices accross the menu are generally low. They are really proud of their 36 year run which was brought to my attention while waiting for my take out. Waitress (owner?) was a bit pushy and hurried me trhough ordering process. They wanted to close at 8:30 since the plae was totally empty. I can't imagine anyone raving about this place. Just flat out bad Italian food and I know GOOD Italian food as I grew up Italian. This is not good Italian food...

This was a great place. The pizza was easy to eat. Not greasy and very fresh. The gentleman taking my order was an absolute pleasure and sent me on my way with everything I would need to have a quick takeout dinner. My wife and I were put on pickup duty and drove right past this place and said let's do it! Highly recommended for a quick takeout.

Overpriced and super underwhelming. I got stuffed flounder (which wasn't stuffed, but slathered) and it was only decent. Not worth a $20 plate for sure, especially considering the side items and bread rolls were literally microwaved from a frozen bag with no seasoning. Be aware - does not serve water. You must pay $1.25 for a bottle even if you've been at the beach all day. Nor should you expect free refills on tea or soda. Strange, huh? Very friendly staff though!

Nicest husband and wife owned restaurant, ever! They sat down and talked to me about all kinds of stuff (Dayton Beach history) as this restaurant has been here 36 years! Had the pizza and it was awesome- the sauce was incredible!!! Best part; Sherri (I hope I spelled her names correctly), the BEST service I've had in recent years at any restaurant- even Michelin rated venues. Sherri ROCKS!!!

Let me first start by saying that I have never had pizza from this place. My wife and I stopped in one day and both ordered off of the dinner menu. Our food was so bad we left it hardly touched. The server even asked if there was something wrong. Not liking confrontation at all, we just paid the tab and said we weren't very hungry. The sauce on the meals was really bad, REALLY BAD! I come from a BIG Greek and Italian family, this sauce taste like it was made with a ketchup base, somebody doesn't know how to cook and I will never go back. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER! Quite ofter restaurants mess up with service, or let the food sit, or something, this was just plain bad bad bad tasking food. I can't stress enough how bad the food taste.

The food is just BAD BAD BAD! Everything was microwaved tasting! Six of us went here and none of us ate more than a few bites besides for our friend who eats out of roach trucks!!! This place does not service quality food! The prices were outrageous and the food was just BAD BAD BAD!

Some of the best pepperoni pizza in the country. We have at least once a week when we are in town for vacation. Very friendly staff. Stop in and order a pizza you won't be disappointed.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
